We have a flexible work policy that allows employees to work remotely (i.e. home office) or adjust the hours of being in the office (you can start the day later or leave earlier; the total of working hours doesn’t change). We have hybrid working arrangements in place: we are prepared for seamless cooperation between colleagues and clients working in the office and from home.
There is no better way to create a relaxed office atmosphere than spending memorable moments together outside of working hours. We have several options for our employees to spend some time with each other outside the office. On Friday evenings they can relax in the bistro downstairs and enjoy a spritzer or two – free of charge! In addition to self-organised parties, dinners, movie nights and excursions, our employees can also regularly participate in corporate team building events, with their team or on a business line level. We also have “all staff” parties: at Christmas, at the end of the Carnival season, or at the close or start of the financial year – there is always some occasion to celebrate!
Our employees can have an extra day off each year called Recharge Your Batteries Day, which is in addition to their annual vacation allowance.

To raise awareness of climate change, summer Fridays are Bermuda Shorts Days in our office, which means that our colleagues may dress more casually, as appropriate for the weather. What does this mean in practice? There is no strict dress code for summer Fridays; a uniform temperature of 25°C is set in our office, which reduces our environmental footprint. We want to use this initiative to start a movement and encourage other companies to take similar steps.
Since 2018, PwC Hungary’s tax advisory practice and Réti, Várszegi & Partners Law Firm PwC Legal have jointly organised the PwC–ELTE Cup, in cooperation with Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law (ELTE ÁJK). The purpose of the Cup is to give law students the opportunity to test their knowledge, written and oral skills by solving tax law cases prepared by tax and legal practitioners.
Our law firm is one of the main sponsors of the ELTE ÁJK team, which regularly competes in the world’s largest freedom of expression, media law and infocommunications moot court competition, the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, founded by the University of Oxford.
Our law firm supports the Bibó István College’s Case Solving Competition, and we have hosted students and given professional presentations for them on several occasions.
We believe it is important to help future generations learn about financial law in a practical way, which is why we are regular sponsors of the ELSA Financial Case Competition. Through exercises adapted from the sponsors’ legal practice, participants can learn about the applications of banking and capital markets law in a real-life business environment.
